Partnerships
In Jersey partnerships are based on the idea of holding property in common.
They can be created by simple agreement or structured so as to secure limited liability with the further options of separate legal personality for the partnership or even corporate status for it. By the time a partnership has limited liability and corporate personality the distinction between it and a limited company is no longer evident. Thus for many of our clients partnerships represent an intriguing alternative to more conventional arrangements. At Viberts we advise them on the alternatives available, their respective pros and cons and how best to document and operate the form of partnership chosen.
