In Jersey, as well as England and Wales, Notaries are largely concerned with the verification of documents and information that will be used in other countries of the world, for clients who have business or property overseas, or who are involved in litigation in foreign Courts.

Notaries form an independent branch of the legal profession. Their practice as Notaries is quite separate from their practice of any other profession or business and is not controlled by the rules affecting other lawyers.

Viberts offer notary services to both private individuals and business clients too.

We assist and guide our clients with all their notarial requirements, whether that might be certifying a true copy of a document, witnessing the signing of corporate documents, authenticating statutory records or witnessing a power of attorney.

The signature of a Notary is recognised around the world as valid confirmation of the authenticity of documents, particularly legal papers. Without their signature, the validity of your documents could be challenged in court both here and abroad.
