Workplace Investigations
Incidents in the workplace – where allegations of misconduct arise or where someone has raised a grievance – will often give rise to the need for an investigation.
Conducting an investigation can be complex and may require bringing in someone independent. This is particularly the case where an allegation is serious, perhaps in relation to fraud, discrimination or bullying for example.
We can provide legal advice on workplace investigations. Please see our Managing Capability, Conduct and Sickness and our Termination of Employment: Unfair and Constructive Dismissal; Redundancy page for information.
We can also conduct independent investigations, where we are not providing legal advice on the matter. Using us to conduct your investigation will mean that you can demonstrate the independence of the investigation, which may assist greatly when it comes to showing that the employer has taken reasonable steps to act fairly.
Please get in touch if you would like more information about this.
