Viberts’ Employment Law specialists will provide delegates with clear and practical advice on managing employment law issues. Our topic for 2022 is: “The Employment Life Cycle”.
We are holding our second seminar which will cover ‘Managing Sickness Absence’ on Wednesday 29 June 2022.
Just as many of us have disabilities, everyone will suffer from ill-health from time to time. From a business perspective, persistent or long term absences can be disruptive, costly and difficult to manage. Some managers may avoid addressing absence because of uncertainty and concern around sensitive matters, but poor handling of these issues can lead to legal claims. By contrast, proactive management can help reduce absenteeism and encourage the return of long term absentees.
In our practical absence management session we will work through a case study, explain the law on disability discrimination and address other topics around ill-health absence. This interactive and engaging session is designed to assist those in HR and line management by providing them with the tools to deal with challenges around workplace absence management.
Partner and Head of Employment, Vicky Milner and Associate, Chris Hendry will provide delegates with clear and practical advice on managing employment law issues.
The seminar will include a Q&A and a short update on recent/forthcoming legal changes.
