Viberts Jersey Écrivain (Solicitor), Eleanor Colley, was recently sworn in at Jersey’s Royal Court as a Jersey Advocate. She is following in her mother, Viberts Partner, Rose Colley’s, footsteps making them the only mother and daughter Advocates on the Island.
Eleanor was a Jersey Écrivain and was promoted to Associate at Viberts in 2020. She was sworn in following the completion of the three year qualifying period having passed her Jersey law exams in 2017. Eleanor commented, “Despite being a pared-down affair, the swearing in at Court was a lovely occasion and I am grateful to all the Court officials who enabled the ceremony to go ahead in these unprecedented times. Congratulations to my fellow Advocates and thank you to Viberts for all the support they have given me the past three years since I first qualified as an Écrivain”.
Eleanor joined Viberts in January 2018 and has experience dealing with a wide range of corporate, commercial, and private client matters. Eleanor was named as one of the 2020 eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35 for the Channel Islands.
