We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the law firm’s facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that our office environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity. This role is critical in supporting the firm’s operations by managing all aspects of facility management, including building maintenance, office space planning, vendor management, and health and safety compliance.
Reporting to the Head of People, Culture and Operations, this is an exciting role for someone with experience in facilities and building maintenance, who is used to planning, influencing and thinking of better ways to gain efficiencies, whilst willingly being proactive and rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to day responsibility for the office support services team, which encompasses: reception, archiving, facilities messenger services, health and safety, office security and general office support.
The successful candidate will:
• Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or similar credentials
• Experience working in a professional services or corporate environment.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably within a professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety/security systems.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor contracts.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and emergency preparedness.
• Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and external partners.
• Ability to respond to emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed.
Candidates with transferable skills in project management, facilities management from other industries are encouraged to apply, as these skills are highly valued in this role.
